Child Health & Well-Being
Average breastfeeding duration - 9 months, 11 Days (an increase of 2 months, 10 days from last year)***
Percentage of mothers ever breastfeeding increased by 4.9% from last year**
89% of caregivers created, and have an on-going, S.M.A.R.T health care goal for their child* ( a 33% increase from last year**)
Promise 1000 home visitors encourage families to attend well child visits, and offer supportive coordination of care by attending well child visits with families
Child Development & School-Readiness
Child development and growth screenings were completed with Promise 1000 infants and children with a 71% completion rate so far this year (2018-2019)***
Child social-emotional development and growth was screened for in Promise 1000 infants and children (a 36% increase in screens was demonstrated from last year)**
Upon completion of the Promise 1000 program (age 3 years) home visitors are able to refer families to early education services and preschool.
Home Safety & Family Resilience
75% of families have been screened for home safety to promote safe living environments, safe sleep, and safe traveling so far this year (an increase of 28% from this time last year)***
Promise 1000 home visitors screen for protective factors to strengthen families and encourage positive parenting practices with 74% of families being screened so far this year***
